I want to download a new nVIDIA driver using Foreware and modded INFs, but I was told to make a backup DVD before doing this, so just incase the new driver messes up my system, I can always use the DVD to restore it(it stores the ENTIRE laptop on it?). So how does it work? I put the empty DVD-R in there, and then I go to eRecovery management, and do I do a Full System backup? I'm not sure if that'll fit on a DVD, so what exactly do I do from here?

I found it, do I create a backup for driver and applications or system configuration? I mean should I do it for both(to be careful), or driver is all I need to do if I'm just going to be downloading new nVIDIA drivers. Just saying, system configuration might be useful to do, right?

You really should do both, before you even do anything, it should be the first thing you do with a new computer... just so that you have it so that you can restore in case something goes wrong.
