I've wiped my hard drive and have XP Pro w/ Omega drivers. Just wondering who has been able to get the best 3DMark scores for the ATI X1400, and how you were able to accomplish it.

    Thanks!

I just ran 3D Mark05 and have a 1705, is this good, bad, just so-so?

    Thanks!

Just ran 2305 on a 5680 with a Go7600, after switching out the nVidia drivers (93.71) and a slight OC. I'd figure the 1705 is pretty poor, considering mine was doing a 1900 prior to the new drivers.

Yea, but you have a different card. I'm wondering what the max I can get out of 'my' card.

I have your card but I don't have your laptop so the clocks / memory might be different.

If you want to maximize performance (i.e. framerates not worrying about image quality) then install omega 6.9 and use the 'ati tray tools' program it comes with to overclock the core and memory on your card. *recommends 515/440.

I get higher 3dmark scores but my card is kind of the odd man out for some reason, your scores are pretty much on par with dell e1505 / dell e1705 though. You could probably break 2000 with a good o/c.

Does overclocking permanently damage the card if you just leave the settings overclocked all the time?

if your computer is properly cooled and maintained, you should have no problems. but make sure you know what you are doing first.
