Just bought the Acer 4820tg-7805. I love it but there's one weird thing going on. When I plug in or unplug the laptop from the power cord the screen flashes completely black a couple of times. This is the only time that happens and its just a couple brief flashes. Is this normal? Does it have something to do with the power settings? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is normal. It is switching graphics between the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 and the Intel GMA HD, so that you can have longer battery life.

If you do not plan on regularly running on battery power for more than a few hours, then you can set Bios to use Discrete Video instead of Switchable Video, and it will just use the ATi video 100% of the time. This will prevent any screen changes or video messages when plugging in or unplugging. After a few weeks, that was what I ended up doing and it is much better.
