Hi all, just registered and got a problem with my Acer Aspire 1360 and hoping you can help me.

It's been steadily getting slower, and as Norton was due for renewal, I'm going to put Comodo AV and FW on. Much better than Norton, and only goods word to say about it.

Anyway, I uninstalled a few things from Add/Remove programs, things I have known in the past to been installed by web pages for viewing content etc. So, I got rid of a few things I knew to be web orientated stuff, and also something called Launch Manager. I assumed :)o ) that this was not originally on the computer and uninstalled it. Restarted to do Comodo install and it now boots really slowly. When it does get there, aeons later, it's still slow and programs won't boot at all.

It didn't come with Syster restore discs or a manual

    Is Launch manager downloadable?

Any suggestions on what steps to take to get it back to normal, truly welcomed.

    Thank you in advance,
    Andy

Thanks for replying. I do have it, but getting it to run is another thing!

It seems a bit coincidental for this to happen after I uninstalled something that I thought wasn't neccessary to it's operation.

    What do you think?

OK guys got it going again..

Safe mode, uninstall Comodo, CCleaner and reboot.

Reinstall Comodo and all is well.

    Thanks :)
