I reformatted my Aspire 5630 laptop and put on Windows Professional 32 bit. I downloaded all the drivers from the Acer support webpage and copied them onto my laptop via usb flash drive, and all of them worked fine.. EXCEPT the Ethernet Controller and Network controller. Basically, everything works fine except the internet =/ So I'm wondering if anyone knows what to do in this case / has had this problem before? I've googled it quite a bit and found it seems to be a common problem with Acer laptops but there's no solution there that has worked for me... I'm getting desperate =/
Mostly I just need to get the Ethernet port working. I used the "Broadcom 9.25.0.0" and "Broadcom 10.26.0.0" LAN drivers which were provided. There was no provided EXE or setup file, so I right-clicked the .INF files and clicked "install." For the first one, nothing noticeably happened. The second one had three INF files.. the first one ("b57amd54.inf) didn't seem to do anything, and neither did the second ("b57win32.inf"), and the third one I tried ("oemsetup.inf") gave an error (simply "Installation Failed").
Additionally, my Ethernet device ID is: "pci/ven_14e4&dev_170c&subsys_00901025&rev_02/4&6B16d5b&0&08f0" (from the device manager)
I've been trying to get this to work for hours now and it's really a nightmare. I can't imagine why Acer would provide its customers with faulty drivers, and I'm still waiting to hear back from their tech support (it's been a couple business days). Please help, if at all possible!

The way to install inf device driver is
Go to device manager, right click on the unknown device select update driver browse to the inf location.
