Hi there fellow acer users! I've got an Acer Aspire 6920g (Gemstone Blue). I've noticed that there is an HDMI cable slot in the left hand side of my machine. How would one connect his PS3 to it and use his laptop screen to play on it?

That HDMI port is made for HDMI output only, not for input... Which means for sending the video signal from laptop to the other HDMI compatible/HD capable device...

    Cheers

No- it's output only- nothing can be done about that.

How can I use that HDMI port to play movies on my tv using an HDMI to 3 RCA video cable?

connect the hdmi cable to your laptop
    the 3 rca to tv.

why would you do that though?
going from digital signal to non digital
does your tv have a vga input ? (the ones used for monitors)

I would not recommend a HDMI to 3 RCA video cable. 90% of the time it will not work because most of these cables do not do a conversion from digital to analog. It's just a bunch of cables spliced together.

Do some research on Google and you'll see what I mean.
