On the Aspire 8930, does anyone know what the Display connection labeled 6 is for - it says high definition, but what cable is used to connect it, and to what does it connect??

In a nutshell, Display Port is a new(ish) interface type that uses a Display Port lead, it looks similar to a HDMI lead except that the connector is slightly larger and it is not a full D shaped connector, only 1 corner is cut in.. It can be used to connect to monitors (and some newer TV's) which come equipped with a Display Port connection.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks mj.

What I am looking for is to find a way to output the screen to an av sender which requires input as AV not DMI or VGA.

    Anyone any suggestions?

    Thanks.
