I am looking to update the firmware on the HDDVD drive (TS-L802A). The most current one I found is on HP's website, but it is for the same drive. Just wondering if this will work on Acer's drive and if not, can I go back to the previous firmware? Starting to feel like a bull in a china shop, thanks, Dave

After much trepidation, I have installed the firmware from HP and...... it works great so far!! No clunking noise when I insert the DVD and it plays from autostart. Now I can sleep, tomorrow......... we watch "300"!!

Good find.. Please post a direct link to it... If you could, post what firmware your 5920G came with, and what the newer firmware number is. Thanks. :)

That firmware is much older than the HP21 firmware posted earlier. The HP21 Firmware reads (04/12/07) and the AC06 reads (12/11/06) on the firmware updater. Any idea if it's better though as it's specific to Acer?
