This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Great Deal on An Acer Notebook!

    Well, I broke down and cancelled my long-standing order for an Hewlett-Packard zv6000 with custom options and purchased this from tigerdirect.com: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1260706&Sku=S334-1014%20OO

    My order with HP was placed March 30th and wasn't scheduled to be shipped until May 11th! I got sick of waiting. I just HAPPENED to stumbled on the Acer notebook and realized it has the specifications I want and then some, but for less money (minus the service warranty, which I did buy).

    It may be an open item/refurbished, but it's still a good deal! Those of you who, like me, are gamers and are looking for a great laptop should check this out.
