hi, iv got a few niggles with my ferrari.
i bought my ferrari with windows xp home, then acer emanager was displaying the processor bus speed as 800mhz, i formatted the hard drive, deleted the backup partation and installed xp pro sp2, acer emanager now shows the bus speed as 400mhz, now i feel that there is a big speed difference between now and when i originally recieved it. it there any way that this can be treated?
also ati catalyst would not install, the catalyst only installer says that my system does not support catalyst please contact your manufacturer, and the ati package installer with both display drivers and catalyst displays some error message.

any help would be much appreciated :)

Go to Acer's support website and download the latest drivers for your model, and install them.

Your CPU in the Ferrari is designed to save power. It will clock itself up/down, depending on usage. Try setting the Power Settings in the control panel to "Home/Office Desk" - that will make the laptop run at maximum speed.

You need to install the Mobility Catalyst drivers, avaliable at www.driverheaven.net.
