    Hi all.

My mom has an Extensa 4620 which couldn't have been already years old, but seems like its battery is giving way.. She told me she keeps noticing that instead of almost 2 hours battery life, now she only gets 30 minutes from it, in High Performance. I've installed RMClock on it not too long ago, but I'm sure it isn't because of that..batteries don't fade that fast, now do they? Can we like send it back to Acer or something since it already underperforms for its age?

Usually if the battery is performing 50% or less than what is advertised you can take it up with the company within the first year while the warranty is still intact.

And getting 30minutes at most in High Performance is less than 50% performance, right?

If you keep draining the battery beyond less than 10% battery capacity drops.

Just out of interest kisetsu17 what sort of ambient temperature is the laptop kept in and used at. Heat is one of the biggest killers of batteries. And how "new" the battery is when first put into service is a big unknown.
