    Hi all,

Has anyone else with an 1810tz got a problem with ethernet cables not 'clicking in' properly? I can remove the ethernet cable from the socket really easily, and it happens all the time - just by moving the laptop it will basically fall out!

The cable itself is fine as I have tried it on a different laptop (an Acer Aspire 2920). I'm really confused - surely an ethernet socket is a completely standard fitting and wouldn't vary between laptops?

Just to be clear, when I insert the ethernet cable, there is no 'click', it just slides in, and then slides right back out again! Only way to use it is to leave the laptop perfectly still.

    Anyone got any ideas?

I'd try a few different cables before sending it in for repair.
My TZ has no problem, BTW.
