I have a major problem hoping someone will help me,I will describe it briefly so professionals would had full details:-

I have a new Acer Aspire 4720G - 301G16.First I made those 2 factory status recovery DVD's.After that I resized partitions by shrinking C partition to it's maximum limit and adding space to D. So C is 45GB and D about 93GB.I needed more space so I used Paragon partition manager to format the Hidden 10GB partition and make use of it[NTFS file system,Drive letter assigned is X]
    So C is 45GB and D about 93GB and X is 10GB.

Then i wanted to try the the effectiveness of the 2 recovery DVD's.So I put the first DVD and boot from DVD drive. The recovery process stopped at the beginning with a messege saying that "THE REASON IS 0x000000e".

Until that point I could start vista normally.I believed the "reason 0x000000e" is because i make use of the hidden partition so i deleted the partition leaving the 10GB unallocated. My inspection was right because the recovery process from the DVD had ran smoothly. But after completing the process
and booting again the vista stopped at the bluish-green screen [just before vista logo appears] with the following messege:

"SYSTEM REGISTERY CONTAINS INVALID FILE PATHS.INSTALLATION CANNOT PROCEED.THIS SYSTEM IMAGE WAS APPLIED WITHOUT QUARANTEEING THAT DRIVE-LETTER ASSIGNMENT WOULD MATCH ACROSS COMPUTERS".

After closing the dialog box system is restarted and the circle starts again,I can't do anything coz even damn recovery DVD didn't worked.

    PLZ SOMEBODY HELP
    SOS..........SOS..........SOS..........SOS..........SOS..........SOS..........SOS.....

From my experience with the recovery DVD's, try deleteing all the partitions on the driver and then use the recovery DVD.

I've been studying for an exam the few days ago.I've just downloaded Gparted. Both Sybarite & Arla thanks a lot.Gparted helped me to delete all partitions. But the big role was to hitachi drive fittness tool.(Hitachi is my notebook Harddisk).Coz i deleted MBR with these tool which is the reason for the messege written above. Not that only,i wiped the rusty hidden partition and i am enjoying my full HD space.

In the Article "Acer Hidden Recovery Partition" writtened by baz999,They said using recovery DVD's will bring the hidden partition back.In my case it vanished completely even after using the 2 DVD.I think there is a way to eliminate the hidden partition permenantly by this steps:

-make a bootable cd containing notebook HD diagonistic tool (It was Drive fittness tool for my hitachi HD from www.hitachigst.com)
-delete the MBR from the HD using that tool
-make another bootable cd of Gparted partition manager from
    http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115843&package_id=173828.....goodluck
    -delete all partitions using Gparted
-insert the 2 recovery DVD and Enjoy your full HD space.

It may depend on the recovery Discs provided.

Mine (8204) never returned the hidden partition, which is good because I really didn't want it back.
