    Hi,

    I just receive my new acer 5930G (4go RAM, P8400@2,26ghz, nVidia 9600M GT w/512Mo...)

The demo of Crysis (1024x768), is so laggy... even with low settings.

Do anyone know what drivers to install ? (Graphics, CPU...)

    ... :( I thought nVidia 9600M GT was about 5000 3dMarks.

There are normally no driver installs required for intel CPUs. Most drivers for the 5930 can be found here.
You can also check out LaptopVideo2Go for the GPU drivers.

Yes I have installed a driver from laptopvideo2go before posting here, but it changes nothing, I'll try a 3dmark test with the acer drivers.

    Whoa, that's not right.
    My 9500M GS-equipped 6920G got a 3618 using the stock drivers, ffs!
Are you doing this on AC power or battery power?
Make sure that you're using the High Performance power plan, too.

Edit : Lol that was the issue, the acer performance settings....I have 6304 3dmarks now... sorry and thank you for your help ^^

Hey, no problem - that's what we're here for!
Enjoy your freakin' awesome 5930G, by the way.

EDIT: I also noticed that you were running it at 1024x768. My 3618 score was at a higher res - I think it was 1280x800, but I'm not sure. Gonna get a new result since I reformatted my system and upgraded to Vista Ultimate anyway.

    WOOW nice score

even with 1024x768 on my 5920G i only get about 4500 OCed

very impressive...i think the CPU is upgraded also (2.50 GHz)

Really nice....How much does it cost + where did you buy it from??!

Can you post some Pics please?......black right?

I think its time to upgrade for me ('',)

i bought the acer aspire 5930g for 800 euro

when you instal windows for the first time you have to instal 31 acer programes so your computer is a bit slower. when i reinstal windows ive got the 3D mark 06 score off 5600!!. without overclock on the normal settings. so its a verry good gaming notebook for the midrange games like CSS or WOW (High = 60-150 FPS) but even crysis is playable on +30FPS on low. so the 9600GT is really nice it is DDR3 :D

    My recommendation:
Remove all Acer programs, clean up the registry and defrag your hdd.
Then conduct the check again ... things might seem faster and the score could also be higher as a result.

Ultimately ... you don't lose anything by re-installing Windows only yourself as it is a surefire way of knowing no extra garbage will be put on it that use up resources in a stupid fashion
