    Hi,

I have a TimelineX 3820TG with i5 480M/HD6550M. Very frequently, on 2D mode, the driver crashes with the same "AMD driver recovered, etc ..."

The problem doesn't come with 3D frequencies. Th system runs on Acer drivers. Do you think I have to return the product to Acer for malfunction ?

    Thanks a lot for helping.

    Up.

Do you think it's a possible software conflict.

sound like you need to maybe reinstall the cards driver
try an updated driver for amd themselfs
more than likely a newer driver then the acer one

also what os you running win 7?

Did you try uninstalling all the drivers and reinstalling using only Acer's stock 8.752 drivers?

No don't use the drivers by AMD, use the one by Acer, version 8.752, which is Catalyst 10.8.

I used all of them, same problem with all versions of CC. Sent back to Acer, they will change MB, the discrete GPU is just stuck ;(
