Do you have an Aspire 5050 recovery disk?

I nuked my recovery partition during a brief switch to Ubuntu after my disappointment with Vista. I would have kept Ubuntu but couldn't get my drivers to work out right. Anyway, Acer wants $30 for a recovery disk and I think that is insane.

If you have a recovery disk, I would much appreciate a burned copy, or an iso, or something. I might even be willing to shell out a few bucks for it.

    Thanks!

why don't you just put XP on the machine??

you don't even need to create an XP disk which includes the SATA drivers, UNLESS your version of XP is NOT SP2

XP SP1 and lower need the AMD chipset drivers added to the XP INSTALLATION CD..
