This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Do Acer have sneaky tracking spyware??

    I was typing away on a word document and then all of a sudden internet explorer opened up, loading this website titled "Empowering Your Opinions".

    Nothing really came of it - seemed to be no content on it, but was pretty freaky! Got me really paranoid about virus or something - but I thought maybe other Acer users (in particular 5920) had experienced this. Very sneaky if so!

    I'm wondering which process I need to disable to stop it from happening again...
