    Hi there,

I am trying to create a backup DVD set for my laptop, I have an Acer 5717z. When I select the option 'Create Factory Default Disk' it keeps saying 'there is not enough working space on your D: Drive, even though it says it would go on multiple disks, and the blank DVD disk holds 4.7GBs.

What the hell am I doing wrong?

the factory default disk contains all the bloatware that acer installs, thereby taking away the entire point of reformatting. Use the acer utility to create a driver DVD, and then download the windows 7 iso and install from there...

I am using Windows Vista, not Windows 7 if that matters by the way. I mean, I didn't understand all of what you said, but I sort of worked it out, I should make a driver disk not a system disk, right? Though I have no idea about the iso bit.
