So I bought this Acer TM 8204WLMI June of last year and not even 6 months later I took it out of my bag at school one day ad voalla! It looks like this. Now I have been using it all year BUT I cant go another year typing with black holes all over the screen.

I have seen other peoples cracked screens and they look A LOT worse than this. Acer gave me the "sorry we dont replace cracked screens, and from what I can hear over the phone from Texas you have a cracked screen" and lets just say I'm less than impressed with Acer's customer service...what do you think? Should I consider myself lucky that its not worse? or is this a pixel problem?

Your screen is cracked, I have seen something just like that on a friends laptop that he dropped. My guess is something in your bag put too much pressure on the screen and cracked it.

Hopefully you have some type of accidental warranty to cover it. You could get it replaced. There is a website that sells LCD's but I can't remember the name of it.

BTW I decided to link your pictures because they were so large it was hard to read your post. :)

BTW I think this is the laptop screen replacement website I was thinking about.

Yeah I killed my laptop too so I feel your pain. :( Have fun at St. Cloud. :)

This looks like the screen you would need. $425.

LOL...it is about my avatar. My avatar shows cells at a microscopic level. If they were skin cells they would be keratinized to provide extra protection. But those cells look like they came from the esophagus.

    Okay...back on topic now. lol
