    Does repartitioning your drives or installing your own copy of windows void the acer warranty?

    I think Microsoft will give you an activation code if you use a regular CD even if it is not your CD since you pruchased a legal copy with your notebook. You may want to check with Microsoft on this. They used to let you activate it over the internet, but they are going to be stopping that. If you use an illegal copy, they could sue you in civil court for damages. I'd say the chances are small, but they are always looking for new ways to catch people.
