Hey I have a TM4501. I have turned off Standby/Hibernate in the Display properties but whenever I close my monitor of the laptop the wireless is disconnected.
Can some1 let me stay connected at night for downloads?

    Thanks
    Arjun

I don't know much about Acers' but from the sounds of it, it sounds like you need to go to your power properties and click on the Advanced tab. You should see an option worded "When I close my lid..." and select "Do Nothing" or "Turn off Monitor"...whatever is applicable.

Because I never owned an Acer, I don't know if they use a separate power utility. Even so, it should also have the same or similar options.

I think it's set up that if you close the screen it will go into stand by mode whether you choose to disable it or not.

The only thing to do is if you want it on to d/load overnight, shut off stand by/ hibernation in windows, leave the screen up and just turn off the monitor, I believe it's that Fn-F5 button to turn off the screen and would leave the computer on to do whatever you're doing with it AFA d/loading stuff.
