    Cd drive error

    I have an Acer 5610Z which i bought brand new on 25th Feb 07 and after installin all the unual software etc today i received an error message Error 39 saying that my cd drive is missing or corrupt!!!!

    Can you help???

    a screen shot might help your situation here. Also a screen shot of your device manager.

    Also what OS are you running?

    it says " windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing (code 39)

    There is a yellow triangle with an ! in it when i access device manager

    Please help!!!

    I purchased a new aspire 5610 and 2 weeks later, my disk drive crashed and eventually the drive would not open, took it back to wal mart and got a Toshiba a105. Hope your problem can be fixed

    I had the same problem. Called Acer and was told set back to factory defaults.Did it and am going again. Good Luck.
