    Cannot put disk in drive.

    I have not much knowledge re laptops, but i have a Acer Aspire 5750, I cannot insert a disk as there is a plastic piece on the top where my disk should go, and cannot see how it can be removed,--please help.

    That's not very clear description. Could you provide a photo?
    Are you trying to replace/upgrade the hard-drive?

    Sorry not great at explaining, this laptop is almost new, all i want to do is to put a cd in the hard drive, the hole in the center of my cds are round ones and when placed in the hard drive just sits on top of where it should sit flush, there is a plastic piece preventing proper fitting.

    Laptop optical drives secure the disk in the tray. While it may seem unnatural at first you simply need to push CD/DVD disk until it clicks.
    Same with removing- you're gonna have to pull it until it's released.
