    Can't Boot Acer Aspire 9300

    Hi Folks,

    First post - hope I'm in the right place...

    My wife has an older Acer Aspire 9300 laptop - running Windows XP. It's been working well until just recently the LCD started going dim. So thinking it was an inverter problem, I ordered a replacment - which arrived today.

    So I go and replace the inverter and start 'er up, and...

    Screen is still dark (I can barely make the image out), but worst of all, it will not start up at all. It gets through the logo screen and to the Windows Welcome screen. Then it goes completely black and starts to reboot - or spometimes freezes al together.

    HELP PLEEEEEAAASE!!!
