Hi, my friend has an Acer Aspire S3-391 with an i3, 500GB HDD and 20GB SSD. It has been extremely slow, after diagnosis I've pinpointed the problem to either the RAM or HDD/SSD.

If the problem is the SSD cache, can I just take it out for him and leave the laptop with just an HDD?
