there is buzzing sound coming from up right corner but that sound is not constant. When I open an application, the sound stops and when in idle in windows sound comes out again.
Please help me with this issue.

This is a very funny thing (wierd funny, not haha funny). I;m gonna guess that this is a Pentium M notebook. I had this exact same problem with my HP NX7000. It was later found to be a capacitor or a resistor (can't remember) that was causing the problem. It was exactly as you indicated, there when idle, gone when the HDD was running and app or something.

Here's a couple questions and things you can try:

Q1. Is your power management settings turned to Always On?
A1. Try changing the settings to Portable/Laptop and see, mine went away when I did this, but it's not what I wanted

Q2. Do you have a USB mouse, keyboard or pen driver?
A2. Insert a USB mouse/keyboard or pen drive into the USB port and see if the sound goes away (don't use a plain USB cable or USB printer that's not on, must be using power from USB port at the time) this again worked for me as ling as one of the 3 items were plugged in

A2b. Goto Device Manager and disable the Power Management for the USB ports (someone on this forum recommended this as a possible workaround)

You can try the possible workarounds for your notebook, but the solution that was given to me to fix it, was to send it in for repair so they can put some glue over the capacitor/resistor causing the problem to block the sound.

    Good Luck!

Well, the engineer told me that there was a capacitor or resistor causing the buzzing noise. They didn't go into great detail after that. They just told me that for them to fix it, they will have to put some glue over the cap/res making the noise. This, I did not consider as an acceptable solution, so I returned the notebook for a refund. Sorry I can't be any more help. The Acer support techs may only be a standard service tech and not an engineer. The person I was dealing with at HP was 1 step away from being the physical design engineer for the notebook. You may want to see if you can get the issue upped to a higher support level.

This problem may be evident in all the Pentium M based notebooks. I've had this problem in the Compaq Evo N00 series & the HP NX7000. Both of these units are Pentium M's. Your system is an Pentium M based as well, so the same problem in 3 different notebooks from 2 different companies. This may be a trend, but then again, we may be the only 2 people that can actually hear the buzzing.

This happens on my TM 800 too, sounds like a pretty serious issue!

    Hey Ang4561,

I guess we're not the only ones that has this problem. That buzzing sound may be a design issue with all Pentium M/Centrino based systems. Most people probably just leave the Power Management settings on Portable/Laptop. On this setting, you'll never hear the noise. Maybe that's why all these Pentium M notebooks seem to have this issue and no one knows about it.
The only way Acer can fix this problem, is if the notebook goes back to one of the higher/design engineers. The techs in the service centers only swap parts out, they don't do the chip design/repair aspects. See if you can have the issue escalated higher up to their Level 2 or higher support.

    Good Luck!
