Yes I wanted to buy an acer aspire 9804 computer? And im wondering does acer sell them directly from their website or just through resellers. Because I would prefer to buy the 9804 directly through Acer. Im curious because I couldnt find anywhere if Acer sells them directly.

Also if I cannot buy it directly through acer, should I buy my computer internationally (say from Europe beecause it's cheaper their by about 500 dollars) or wait for it too be released in the US (I dont really need HD-DVD) Please reply, thanks :)

Nope, Acer does not do direct sales. You"ll have to buy it from their resellers. Buying from Europe depends on th retailer, if you can afford it(taxes, import duties...) and they are willing to ship overseas then it might be a good possibility otherwise I think it would be worth waiting for it to be released in the US.

OK thanks, do you know how much importing taxes etc. might add to the price if shipping a computer from Europe to Florida (I just want to see because it would be a pain to spend 2800 dollars in the US, when I could have gotten it cheaper importing from Europe, Im just wondering because 2800 is a little steep for me? Thanks in advance.

I think you'll have to contact whatever reseller you're buying it from. Importing duties can be kind of expensive, and not to mention shipping and taxes. If you have a friend/relative in Europe,it'd be best if he could buy it for you and ship it to Florida.

Unfortuneately I dont, and I would buy it off Ebay, but Im kind of worried I may come in bad condition or may have a virus of somesort. Would it cost over 700 dollars, on average? Reason ebing the US version (no HD-DVD) costs 2800, if the importing price and everything runs at least under 700 dollars then It wouldnt be much of a problem.

I just don't know how much you can rely on eBay to buy a computer as such. I personally wouldn't do it because it wouldn't give me peace of mind until I got it. And if it just so happens that it came in a bad condition,I'd be heartbroken. But I'm sure there are people who have had good experiences getting it off eBay too. It's a gamble,IMO. But I suggest you look around.
