I bought a laptop acer travelmate 8372 last Feb. 7, 2011. Its has an i3 processor and said in the sticker on front, it has a bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and likewise at the bottom of the laptop it is indicated that it has a bluetooth module Atheros AR5BBU12.

I tested my laptop for its functionality and when I attempted to locate the bluetooth, it cant be found. This is after the OS and drivers were installed. Then I reformatted the system and installed the drivers again and this time I made sure that I did not missed any drivers. Still I can't see any indication that about bluetooth device. I check the device manager I can't see any main category named BLUETOOTH which ideally should be together with the list for KEYBOARDS, PROCESSOR etc. But under SYSTEM DEVICES there was ATHEROS Bluetooth Bus. I clicked it and it said that its working properly. SO I referred this problem to my friend. He suggested that I should download a launch manager from the acer website which I did. This time, if a press Fn + F3 or the button for wireless there is now the WIFI: ON/OFF option and the BLUETOOTH: ON/OFF option. However, everytime I press ON for the bluetooth my laptop freezes...

Please help me in solving this problems. I don't know what to do...

    Thank you...
