I own a Acer 1692 WLMI with the specs on my signature.
Two months ago I installed NHC, but only since one month ago I have been looking in the battery wear.

Firstly, one month ago it toke a 20% of battery wear, in middle of july it lower to 18%, but yesterday after try to install linux and go to battery mode and waste almost 90% it says that my computer has a 27% of battery wear.

My computer only has 7 months of life, it's that correct? If I use always the AC mode it could lower the battery wear?

    Thanks!!

It should have more than 7 months of life, I ussually replace laptops in 2-3years, there is almost no way a laptop is going to last 4 years, like people want. And the wear level does go down when on ac, but alot slower.

Edit: If u ALWAYS use your laptop on AC, then charge your battery to 40% and then put it in the frige, that will make the wear level go down like 1-5% a year.

Wow! Charge the battery to 40% and put it in the fridge? I have never think this. How much time? But it can hurt the battery?

How much time? u mean in the frige? until u want to use it, then just put it in the laptop, I never did it, since I use my battery every day, but a LOT of people and websites say that is a good way of preserving your battery, think of it as food. I aslo heard the putting it in the freazer would give u even more battery, but I wouldnt do that if I was u. It could damage your battery IMO.

Thanks! I don't know how it could increase so quickly it goes of 18% to 27%. Or the NHC is reading bad or the battery is getting worse

Make sure if you stick it in the fridge to let it get back to room temperature before tossing it in your laptop. At least that's what I've read.

oh, and the worst thing for the battery is if u do a full cycle (u have to do it sometimes, or when recalibrating) its good if u dont go below 15%, and beleive it or not above 70%, but u cant do that cause the charger automatically slows down the charging at ~95% and charges slower, it would hurt it if u just disconected it
