I've just installed XP Pro (clean install) on my Aspire 3003LMi.
On booting, I am getting the message: "windows could not load the installer for the battery"
I go along with the prompts to search for the software on the net, but get nowhere.
When I get to the end, I even tick the box to ignore the hardware in future, but every time I reboot, I get the same thing, twice! Yes, I have to go through the whole thing twice every time I fire the laptop up.
I've emailed support, but they don't  have an answer.
I presume the Aspire has a battery monitor program, that the laptop is looking for, but I cant find anything.
    any ideas?
    Benjamin

Have you tried installing epower management? Also make sure you have the latest drivers from acers website.
