Just got the Acer Aspire 1694. the higher end model, with 1Gb of ram. its great, i love the laptop, except for one thing.
I didnt notice at first, but i had the charging cable plugged in, but the battery was stil draining. When i realised, i was at 40% battery.
After wiggling the cable around in the contact, i finally got a bright screen, so i knew the laptop was running off DC. The only way to get tit to stay connected with the charger is to bend the cable slightly so its pushing up.
Not sure if you guys understand what i mean. But it has to do either with the contact in the laptop, or with the metal part of the charging cable.
One of the two is not right. And needs to be held in a certain way, which is achieved by making the cable contact push up against the top of the charging hole.

Its not really repairable i think, so ill have to use my warrenty.
My question is, is this covered by the warrenty?
And, are there any suggestions for what i should do?
Im going to ring Acer at the weekend.
