In the last couple of days I have had BSOD whenever the cpu is at high usage. For instance when using program that uses 90-100% (couple of different programs) it eventually will BSOD if left long enough. For non-cpu high usage programs it works fine.

I did install temp monitor. The temperature is around 60-70c. When it crashes it is not extremely hot. You can hear the fan but it is not extremely hot (i had another laptop that would get extremely hot but never bsod). I did install program prime test 95 and ran the blend test. It crashed on that about 5-10 minutes into it.

The reason I believe it is not software is because when it BSOD, if I turn it back on it BSOD right after the acer screen. I have to leave it shutdown for 5-10 minutes and it works fine afterwards. This is why I think it is temp issue (however again it is not that hot bottom of the computer).

So my question is two folds.
    1) What can I do as temporary measure to maybe monitor the cpu and not let it get to the point where it crashes (I have not overclocked, thinking of underclocking)
    2) I'm still in the 1 year warranty phase (basic warranty). What can I expect from Acer canada? New computer, new cpu, refurinshed computer, instance on me reinstalling windows 10 times & 20 calls before getting issue fixed, etc? How long can I expect to be without computer?

    Thanks,
System is Acer Aspire 5551-2384, 4 gig ram, and ATI Radeon 4250

Check the Power Adapter the power specs label under the laptop meets the adapter, harddisk or CPU.
