It started freezing right after the initial Acer splash screen about 3 months after I started using it. Been collecting dust over a year, but recently I decided it was time to fix it.

It won't boot from the HDD. It won't boot from a Win10 .IMG on a flash drive, and it won't boot from a Win10 DVD.

Is there any way to diagnose this, or am I stuck paying a shop?

    Thanks

Disabe fast boot and secure boot on the BIOS, or it wont boot from anything besides the installed Windows on the HDD.

Given the freezing at splash(loading) I would bet on an HDD with bad sectors, and all it needs is a new HDD/SSD and a new OS install.
