 So I'm a bit disapointed with the temp of my gpu, around 60°C idle, acording to nVidia control panel. This is the temp idle after notebook is on for something like an hour. By having unmounted the laptop I know that the same heatsink covers CPU, GPU and chipset, and if CPU stays under 47°C, the fan wont turn on. So with good thermal paste on it and a nice undervoltage, or when underclocked at 800MHz and 0,8V, it never turns on when laptop is idle on just downloading on emule. If I surf the web or anything, the fan turns and GPU temp goes down to 57°C, but when CPU is not used or just a little 5 or 10%, then it can reach some 64°C, idle... When playing PKR in a 800*600 window, it reachs 85°C quickly, with fan on. I'm a little affraid in playing full screen so. Please, you owners of a 9300 with geForce 7300go chipset, post your GPU idle temp so I can compare to mine, just to know if this is normal or if something is going wrong. Thanks in advance ! :)

We both came to the conclusion the GPU died cause of hi temps...

So annyone like me who gets advised to buy a 9302 for gaming is completely and utterluy BEIN LIED TO !!!

Hi, my 8600m GS will be between 55 - 59 Degrees with no load and then 70 - 75 degrees under load (Toca Race driver 3) I have no overclocks at all and no extra cooling, although I have started on my own cooler just for gaming.
So your 60 degrees under load aint that high.

I said : "when CPU is not used or just a little 5 or 10%, then it can reach some 64°C, idle... When playing PKR in a 800*600 window, it reachs 85°C quickly, with fan on". pkr on 800*600 ok ? And I mean with a clean system and good paste, so imagine with a far cry at 1440*900 ! I tested it with south park rally, not a fantastic nor recent game , plus background emule and some other apps to load the cpu, and monitored gpu at over 105°C after 10mn playing, 105°C is the value when nvidia driver makes an alarm, but system usually freezes before this temp (perhaps due to northbridge temp too (same heatsink...)) So I say : 9300 are not made for gaming. Due to the cooling system, it's not safe playing long time on high end graphics games without extra cooling. It can't safely cool down CPU@100% & GPU@100% for long period of time. I don't use it for gaming anymore, except for some 2D poker.
