Hey Guys, I've got some issues with my Aspire 8920.

I've downloaded the intel processor ID utility, and more often than not when I run it, it tells me that the processor is stepped back to 0.93 Ghz from 2.1 .

This is with the unit plugged in and and the ePower Management utility set to full performance.

When I fire up Team Fortress 2 with it running at that clock speed, I get miserable frame rates and the game is unplayable.

Similarly, however, when I get it to run at 2.1Ghz (game runs great) -- within 15 minutes or so of playing TF2 I have a feeling that the speed is being bumped back down to 0.93 Ghz because the game slows down painfully and becomes unplayable.

I've recently re imaged the machine to factory defaults and had no luck so far - what do you guys think I should try?

I've never updated the BIOS, and I'm game to try, but I have no good idea where to start with that because the north american website seemingly has no place to get new versions (AFAIK).

    Thanks in advance.
