I'm thinking of buying an Acer Aspire 7741 and would want to convert the hard drive to two partitions by shrinking the existing to hold the OS and then creating a new one in the freed space to hold data.

Does it come with a 'recovery' disc or with a Windows 7 disc? The latter would make life easier if I run into problems in the future.

    TIA

Well you can shrink your current partition and divide it into two partitions.
you don`t need any additional toll since windows 7 has a built in partition manager.

You can start it by clicking on start button and in search field type:
"Create and format hard disk partitions"

    Hope this will help...
    Cheers

I have this computer and it does not come with any restore discs. There is an restore partition and creating the restore discs will require 4 DVDs.
