    hi.
i have the aspire 5672 since june 2006.

    I have the following problem:
If i put a wallpaper with high contraste, like black and white
    or
    play too long Warcraft 3,
the images get burnt in the screen. You can see part of the border of the image that was there before.

Shall I send the notebook to service?

Erm the laptop screen response time is only 16ms. So ghosting is possible. However burn in sounds bad. LCD's usually don't suffer form burn ins that often!

the problem is not the ghosting. in fact, i see no or almost no ghosting.
the problem is the imagen burn.
in the case of warcraft 3, if i play for more than an hour and then i quit, i can still see the edge of the "attack" , "stop", "go" bottons in my screen, for a long time

Yea you probably should. LCD's should rarely ever have burn-in and it should never be consistent in its occurrence. The warranty should cover this but Acer tech support is pretty lenient with things. As long as you're under warranty and you tell them there's an issue, they'll just tell you to send it in. Ask if them if they will use FedEx Overnight if this isn't the first time you've had to send in your laptop. (This is all assuming you're in the US. I don't know about Acer tech support in other countries.)
