This Acer Aspire with Vista Premium has made me
    very happy so far.

The only modification I would like to make to
it is to upgrade the Intel 945 graphics card.

Can anybody give some advice about that? Which
type can be installed, for example.

I've already upgraded the RAM from the original
two 512Mb sticks to two 1Gbyte sticks. That
made a big difference with movies, etc.

Now I'd just like to get the most out of the
graphics and upgrade. Help would be appreciated.

Its not possible to upgrade graphics cards in notebooks. Only a small percentage have upgradeable graphics card, and those that do, have requirements of the upgrade card.

You can`t upgrade the GPU because it will require a different motherboard.

Ok. I have to accept that.

    I appreciate the info.

Everything seems to be working pretty good
as it is; I was just looking for "optimum"
on this notebook. As it is, the performance
results are all 4.5 or 4, with the exception
of the "gaming" rating which is only 3.

    But I'm not a gamer. :)

Thanks again for the new (to me) information.
