    Hi all,

Does anyone out there know how to fit an internal bluetooth module to the 5536... or even know where the connector is located ?

I had a quick look under the memory and HDD panels but could only find the WLAN module (which i'm also upgrading to wireless n) but couldn't see anything obvious.

The fact they have the necessary spare parts on general sale would suggest it's a simple DIY job... i'm not sure sure though.

    Any help appreciated.

wow the UK spare parts site is a ton better than the US one...I did the same thing you did, popped open the memory/HDD panels and was disappointed. Although it sounds a bit different internally--mine didn't have the WLAN module in view, and it looked like there was a spot for a port of some kind that was missing if I am remembering right.

What basic specs do you have? Mine is QL-64, HD3200, x86 Vista etc etc...of course mine also has wireless-N standard. Hmmm...

AMD Turion RM-74 2.2GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, 15.6" WXGA, DVDRW,HDMI,Webcam Card Reader WIFI, ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics, Vista Home Premium pre-installed now running Win 7 Pro

    got it here last week

It only came with wireless b/g standard but managed to get a Intel 5100 n card for < £13 off ebay. Oddly, they don;t sell the wireless adaptors on the official spare site and thats simple to change !

I've got an Acer 8730G with the 5100 pre-installed but no Bluetooth. I do have that BLuetooth multimedia button that says no Bluetooth device everytime I press it. I wouldn't mind knowing where the bluetooth connector is located as I am sure I would only need to plug it to the WIFI card because I am 99.9% sure that the 5100 comes with the integrated bluetooth too

My fallback solution would be to get a bluetooth adaptor in the SD Card form factor and just put it in the card reader slot permanently... i've had very little use for these slots otherwise
