    Hello all!

I'm the proud owner of a new Aspire 5050-4570. My quad-directional scroll button works just fine when trying to move through webpages in Internet Explorer, but when using the button in Firefox 2.0.0.6 it doesn't work at all. I've sent Acer a support request email but have yet to hear back from them. A google search for the problem didn't merit any fixes. Any thoughts on how to get the scroll button to cooperate in Firefox? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide. :)

I'll give it a shot, but it would be nice to get popular browser like FF working as well. Are you using the same model as mine?

    1) Uninstall your current Synaptics Touchpad drivers.
    2) Restart Computer
    3) Download new Touchpad drivers from: http://www.synaptics.com/support/drive.cfm
    4) Install
    5) Restart
    6) Reconfigure your touchpad and remap the buttons

You should now have scrolling support in Firefox via Touchpad (Quad-directional scroll is part of the touchpad system)
