I was watching this laptop, but i'm surprised reading the battery infos from its datasheet: 2 hours!?!?

    Batteria Li-ion 32W

Where is the gain of using a Centrino???
I would prefer this model to a 1672 just for that, but after reading this feature, i can forget it, if that info is real.
Could anyone inform me about the real life of this battery?

and... about performances... are 1682 and 1672 confrontable in any fields of applications/games?

The reason why it lists only 2 hrs of runtime is because of the battery, it's only a 4 cell battery. Depending on where you get the notebook, it may come with an 8 cell battery, which will give you 4-5hrs. You could always get this unit with the 4 cell battery and then go buy an Acer Travelmate 4000/4500 series battery. They're compatible with the 1680 series casing. This will give you the 5hrs you're looking for, plus a spare battery.

The performance of the 1672 will beat the 1682 because the 1682 is only a 1.6Ghz Pentium M (which is approx the same as a P4 2.8Ghz CPU). The Pentium M does perform well, especially in office/business apps, but the P4's just provide more overall raw computing power. The performance when playing games will really be depend on the graphics chip. Both have an ATI 9700 w/64MB (dedicated) GPU, so games should generally run approx the same (maybe a slight performance difference with the P4). But I'm sure running the P4 at full speed vs the Pentium M at full speed, you will still get more battery life from the Pentium M even though it has 50% less cells vs the P4's battery. If you upgrade the battery to the 8 cell for the Pentium M unit, you'd get double the life vs the P4.
