    Hi!

I'm an electronic music producer, for month I was checking options for a notebook for live performances - means stable and fast machine.

    My friend bought this:

    Aspire 1652WLMi
    1.73ghz Sonoma 2MB cache
    1024mb DDRII
    DVDRW
    HD 80GB UDMA
    15.4" WXGA
    ATI Radeon X300 64MB

    I'm thinking of:

    Aspire 16592WLMi
    1.73ghz Sonoma 2MB cache
    1024mb DDRII
    DVDRW
    HD 80GB UDMA
    15.4" WXGA
    ATI Radeon X700 256MB

or same machine as he got...

I will see him only more month so I can't know how it goes with that. What you people think? (Please don't talk about any audio, it's useless I use pcmcia audio interface)

    Cheers

Definately get the 1692WLMi if you can afford the extra money,

The X700 is a far better chip than the X300, though i'm hoping some experts will comfirm that!

    HOpe that helps.

    Agreed.
Definately get the laptop with the X700. Those two cards don't even compare. :p
