If so, any thoughts, I'm vaguely browsing the mobile market since I'm about 6 months from my new laptop purchase, and on initial impression this looks like a nice laptop, I don't like any of the new toshiba notebooks (all seem to be rather low performance for gaming, very weak graphics cards)

What concerns me about the Ferrari is heating, given that it's a very nice a small notebook (I especially like the weight, 7lbs (roughly) for a high performance laptop! That's very nice, much better than the 10-12lbs I'm used to carrying around) but I've heard a lot of the high end notebooks have heat issues, and I'm wondering how the Ferrari is holding up.

The other option I've read in a couple of magazines of late is the Aspire 2020, but I don't seem to find that for sale in the US? Anyone know anything about that?

i got my acer aspire 2025 off harmony computers just a few months ago. not sure if you know this but the 2020 part just stands for the range of the laptop. models within the range are the 2023(banias), 2025 (1.8ghz dothan) and 2026 (2.0 ghz dothan.

so maybe u were just searching wrong?
    hope this helped
