Been looking through all of the threads and can't seem to find any post discussing the 8920 6671 directly. I am looking at buying the 6671 but in light of all of the post about the resolution issues with the screens on some of the other models combined with the fact that the only source I can find to purchase the 6671 is online has me concerned. I would really like some input from users/owners of the 6671 before I blindly order a $2000+ laptop sight unseen.

You're not going to have a problem with resolution issues. My 8920G from Newegg is fine. Everything it described.

And bluetooth and wi fi as promised I'm guessing? What about graphics card? Nice that Acer also offers a 3 year warranty on the 6671 also

I'm thinking of ordering the 6671 from PC Connection. Any input from 6671 owners out there? Can anybody tell me if the 6671 has one or two hard drive slots?

You and I have been trying to get information about the 6671 for like two weeks and just end up talking to each other. It doesn't seem as though anyone owns one. I've been waiting so long now I wonder if the 8930 is going to have a comparable model.

    Robert,

The local king geek at the custom PC shop in town has been trying to get one of these babies for himself ever since I first asked about it. His distributor is on a wait list just to stock the laptop. I really don't want to buy from anywhere else. If I buy this notebook from the local custom shop, they will warranty it for three years at no charge. So far, I have never needed the warranty for anything other than my stupidity (playing too deep in the BIOS, for example). IMO, it's worth the wait just to buy from a place with excellent service options. I've been to Acer's website many times in my search for information, but it's a little vague. Something tells me that in our case, patience is indeed a virtue.

Thanks for the info. I'll be curious to find out what the king geek has to say about it.

If I'm not mistaken, however, Acer already supplies a 3 year warranty on the 6671. I guess having a warranty from a local distributor is a huge benifit in comparison to having it sent off to parts unknown with Acer.

I'll continue to wait until at least I can see the laptop in person. Ho hum, stuck with my Dell a little longer I guess.

    Thanks again
