I noticed that some on-line dealers are selling the new 5680. Anyone get a hold of one? Any reviews? Before I pull the trigger on this one, I'd like to know:

    1. How much heat does it give off? Any better or worse than the 5672?
    2. Did you get a chance to try out the DVI port?
    3. I've read the specs but am still unsure of the "line-in" port. Can I connect an RCA plug from a video camera (or VCR) and view or save a video on the laptop? Can I connect from my cable and satellite providers to record programs on my laptop?
    4. How's the overall build quality?

If the answers are favorable, I'm ordering it this week!
    Thanks guys.

Processor is a little lower (T5500 vs T7200 on the Acer) and the drive is a little smaller too but you do get the 2-yr warranty and a free carrying bag.

Seems like trading a dollar for quarters. Anything in particular I should watch out for on the Acer? I know it has heat problems in other models. To tell you the truth, I don't know much about either brand.

Speaking from the 5670 point of view, heat isn't that much of a problem to be honest, just have the windows power manager on laptop/portable, and you'll see considerable reduction in heat levels even when plugged in!
