This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Annoying music

    Hi everyone

    I have an Acer Aspire1640Z.
    To save energy I have the monitor switch off if the keyboard has not been used for 5 minutes.
    However, there's a problem when I listen to the radio - when the monitor goes off, the pre-installed music which then comes on automatically masks the radio. :mad: My only option is to get up, walk to the radio, and hit a key; then the music goes off as the monitor comes back on.
    So, is there any way to remove that annoying and unwanted music?
