    D2D recovery enabled in BIOS.

    Rescue partition present and intact.

AltF10 not working, so did the mbrwrwin install of rtmbr.bin, which was reported to be a success.

Now Alt+F10 still gives no response, and I get to an OS choice screen of XP or Vista, both of which choices lead to endless reboots.

Never get an acer restore menu.

Tried turnin D2D recovery on and off in BIOS, but not effect.

This is an Acer Aspire 9410.

Any thoughts on why Alt+F10 doesn't give me recovery screen even after mbrwrwin-ing rtmbr.bin?

    Thanks

OK, this is weird. Went into winXP RC from CD, and ran fixboot, now every boot I go into Acer Recovery, even without F10, BUT now am getting "FAIL to get partion 1 drive letter" error.
