Seems like most of the low end laptop issue lack firewire and svideo support. Annoying!!

Supposing I don't want to add firewire/svideo by cardbus / PCMCIA or usb. Is this possible to hack this in another fashion ?

    In a word, doubtful.

Any specific computer you are trying to add it to or think you would want to add it to.

But svideo isn't part of the GMA900 and 950 ? Cant' I actually hack the thing if Acer just decided to hide this feature?

No, you're pretty stuck with the interfaces you've got. The BIOS most likely will not support the addition of more I/O ports, unless you use the cardbus or USB. Firewire needs a separate controller.

bummer! acer are sick... slacking down extra features that don't cost them 5$ more to add.
