Right so I ordered an Acer 722 netbook of eBay and received this ultrabook instead I'm like this is awesome but I'm hating the windows 8 on it. Install windows 7? Should work fine with multitouch display or?

Windows 7 will not work very well with a touch display- while it does and it's pretty useful at times it wasn't designed with touch displays in mind so it's not used extensively. Still- it works fine assuming all drivers are in place.

Then again you have nothing to lose- you will either stick to Win 8 and use it (I personally hate it too but give it some time before you decide) or switch to Win 7 and not use a touch display as you would have with win 8- but you would still be left with a better notebook than the one you've ordered.

    Nice present BTW. :)
