Okay, I have done a search on this but nothing is available... I got the touch buttons above the keyboard on my 5739G to work with Winamp but there is one (big) issue. When I for example press 'next song' it skippes thorugh 7 songs before it stops, quite fast you can't even hear it (exept for 3 or 4). I did not like this :D Also when you press 'Pause/Play' Winamp it selfs pop-up and music stops but after then you can't press 'Pause/Play' agian because one touch does the action 3 times and it ends up Paused again :D

I have not been in Acer section for long, recived my laptop yesterday, is there any way around this? WMP works fine.. The FN keys (Home, PG UP, PG DN and END) does also the same...

    Any input will be usefull,

    Thank you!

For my Acer, I think there was a regedit entry or something similar on NBR to reprogram the media keys for different functions...

I'm guessing you're running Dritek LaunchManager in which case you should go through these steps which I posted a while back in the 3820TG thread.

    I think you can remove

    ...
    Key 18 = 1,E0,24,E0,A4,F5E8,Stop
    Key 19 = 1,E0,22,E0,A2,F5E7,Play/Pause
    Key 20 = 1,E0,10,E0,90,F5E5,Previous
    Key 21 = 1,E0,19,E0,99,F5E6,Next Track
    ...

    Key 1 = 1,B3,22,1,1,F5E7,Play/Pause
    Key 2 = 1,B2,24,1,1,F5E8,Stop
    Key 3 = 1,B1,10,1,1,F5E5,Previous
    Key 4 = 1,B0,19,1,1,F5E6,Next Track
    ...

Just set the correct Key # afterwards so that all Key numbers are in numerical order.

Now they don't work at all :D

    UPDATE:

The method above did not work. However, I did find something over at Winamp.com and finally got the media buttons to working state. But now, the media launch button does not work. I mean that one to far left above 'Home' button. Before this 'mod' I could launch WMP with it now it does not light up at all.. Any solutions?

"Global Hotkeys" must be enabled in Winamp for the media keys to function. Did you set the proper Key # in the "MMKEYBD.CFG" file after deleting those lines? i.e., Key 22 --> Key 18, Key 23 --> Key 19 etc.?

huh? It has nothing to do with Winamp anymore.. It is the new CFG file.. And yes they are in order but something is missing...

I'm on my Acer now and here is how it looks

I would just reinstall LM, make a backup of the .cfg file and actually delete the lines instead of putting ;;. As you can see under [Common HotKey Hook for WinNT], the key count is 8 rather than 4 which it probably will revert to if you delete the lines.

As I said. There is NOTHING wrong with either Winamp or the media control buttons. Think of like QuickPlay button in any HP laptop. That button is now gone, not a big loss, but ok to have...

    UPDATE:
Did what you suggested, still not working...

    UPDATE:
I've fixed the issue. Took the orginal and compared against the modded I had and I figured it out. I deleted the buttons I don't use and added my own. Pretty easy when you first take some time and look through :D
